The negative impact of mobile phone
Mobile phone has been a very important means of communication in the recent years. It has been a very useful electronic gadget to communicate that replaces the home phones. As we know that almost everyone in the town has at least one mobile phone. The owners of the mobile phone are vary not only successful businessmen but also drivers and meat ball sellers even some young students who don’t have any income. Mobile phone brings both positive and negative impacts to the users especially students. The following are the negative impacts of using mobile phones for students.
The first impact is that mobile phone is the source of distraction. As we know that once a student uses a mobile phone he will have a tendency of using it wherever and whenever he is. No matter that this will distract his attention from the teacher’s explanation. Many students have this problem. They know that they are not allowed to use mobile phone to school but they seem do not care about it.
The second impact is that mobile phone is the source of jealousy and envy. As we know the price of mobile phone is vary from the cheapest around 400 thousands to the most expensive around 50 million. For the students who are from the rich family of course want to have the one that are expensive because it has excellent features. This of course will cause the jealousy and envy of the students who are from the poor family. So, they will do something to own such a mobile phone. Some of them steal something to own such a gadget or they steal their friends’ mobile phones.
The third impact is that mobile phone is the source of pornography. As we often read in the newspaper and listen the news on TV, many young students were caught for keeping some pornographic pictures and videos. These students who are still underage are familiar to such materials of course it is against the laws.
The conclusion is that everything that we have is like a coin which has two different faces. On one face is that it has positive sides. However, the other side is that it offers negative side. We have to be wise to use it in order to get the most benefits of it.
