The role of English in modern era

English, as one of the international languages, has been playing a very important role in many aspects of life. It is also the most influence language in the world for it is widely used in many fields of work. English has been taught since the modern life began which means that people have spoken this language in many different places and countries. In this modern world English is still used and spoken mainly by the well educated people and scholars. In this essay I would like to discuss the role of English in modern life and how English has played its role in building the modern world.
English is the success key in the development of telecommunication. As we know that the entire people in the world are connected by one means of communication which we call telephone. To connect them we need a language that can be understood by both parties. And the language they use is English for it is spoken by most people in the world. English enable them to communicate and express their mind so that other people will understand their mind and their thought. Telecommunication operators in the world are required to know English as well, it is because they are the people who are responsible for connecting speakers in the world.
English is the success key in the development of education. It is undeniable that English has been playing a very important role in education. Many educators in the world use English as the language medium in transferring their knowledge both in the class and writing their book. They do this because they believe it will be easier for international readers to understand their thoughts and ideas. So English is the only choice and means of communication among them. Important and well known writers also use English to pour their ideas. It is intended for the readers all over the world.
English is the success key in technology. Technology as we all know has changed the way we live our lives in this new millennium. It has affected each and every faucet of people from all countries irrespective of cultural and physical boundaries. Now many people may argue with the fact that, not all change brought due to the technological revolution has resulted in progress for the human kind. But I strongly support the argument that technology has made the world a better place to live. And as we all know that English has a big role in spreading the technology to the world.
English has many more roles in developing the world in many other aspects and fields. I believe the role will not be replaceable by other languages in the near future. So master English and be the master of the world.
